Minestarters Roadmap Q4 Update: What Shipped, What Moved, and What Comes Next
In May, our Q2 roadmap update covered the private testnet, our compliance partners and the move to a Bermuda structure. We were working towards an MVP mainnet launch in the second half of 2026.
The first institutional vault launch is now planned for Q1 2027. That shift reflects the work to establish our Bermuda compliance pathway and the expected timing of the applications we have submitted. Alongside that process, we are preparing the contracts, reporting infrastructure and auditor integrations needed for the first vaults.
Atlas has also launched, giving users a mining research tool they can use today while the vault platform moves towards launch. Here is what has changed, what we have completed and where the next phase of work is focused.
What we have built so far
The first half of 2026 established the foundations: our core team, compliance partnerships, private testnet and platform infrastructure. That included the vault contracts, investor identity checks and account abstraction.
The base contracts are now close to audit-ready. The remaining preparation will be informed by the details of the first vaults, so the audit can cover the implementation we intend to launch.
We have also partnered with auditors to support net asset value (NAV) updates, ongoing monitoring and other compliance requirements. Those relationships are part of the operating framework for the vaults. The reporting tools and integrations that connect the platform to that work are a focus for Q4.
What changed since May
The institutional vault launch is now planned for Q1 2027
In May, we announced the move towards a Bermuda structure. Since then, we have worked through the compliance pathway and submitted the relevant applications under Bermuda’s Digital Asset Business Act (DABA).
Our current expectation is that approvals will come through in Q1 2027, and we have moved the planned institutional vault launch to that window. Approval and timing remain subject to the Bermuda Monetary Authority’s review. No licence has been granted yet.
This gives the launch plan a clearer sequence: progress through the regulatory process, complete the technical and operational preparations, then open the first vaults to eligible institutional investors.
Q4 is focused on preparing for the contract audits
Our base contracts are close to audit-ready, but the audit itself is still ahead of us.
During Q4, we will focus on audit preparation and review as the structure and requirements of the first vaults become clearer. Those details help define the scope of the work, including how the contracts interact with the assets, reporting processes and controls for each vault.
The aim is to complete the necessary audits and address their findings before launch. This technical security work sits alongside the auditor partnerships for NAV updates, monitoring and ongoing compliance.
Atlas is live, with further improvements underway
Atlas launched in Q3 as our research tool for mining stocks. It helps users work through mining company news and disclosures, with more context for assessing the evidence behind an announcement.
It remains in beta. In our September Atlas update, we outlined the work needed to move beyond that stage: stronger knowledge coverage, deeper news history, improved scoring and more useful sorting.
Alongside those improvements, we are developing Atlas MCP and Generative UI, with third-party integrations also on the roadmap. The focus is on making Atlas more useful within the research workflows people already use.
The next phase: preparing for launch in Q4
Q4 brings together the work needed to prepare the first vaults for institutional investors.
Miner and investor matching is already underway. As the initial vault opportunities take shape, their requirements will inform the contract audits and the reporting infrastructure around them. We will focus on the tools that support NAV updates, project monitoring and compliance reporting, working with our auditor partners to connect those processes to the platform.
Atlas development continues alongside this preparation, with third-party integrations and the improvements described in September. Its research tools are available today and will continue to evolve as we prepare the vault platform for launch.
Q1 2027: the planned institutional launch
Our target for Q1 2027 is the first MVP vault launch for eligible institutional investors, subject to regulatory approval, completion of the necessary audits and operational readiness.
This phase also includes curator outreach. Curators bring the mining knowledge and diligence needed to identify projects and assess their suitability for a vault. We will work with mining professionals as the first opportunities take shape, alongside further development of the platform’s basket signalling and allocation mechanics.
The launch will be an initial institutional release. Access will depend on investor eligibility, jurisdiction and the requirements of each opportunity.
Get involved
If you are looking to invest in real-world mining assets, get in touch through our investor page to discuss your interests and receive updates on the planned launch. No vault is open for subscription today, and future access will be subject to eligibility and jurisdictional requirements.
If you run a mining company, miner and investor matching is underway. Explore our mining company incubation programme to learn how to put your project forward for consideration.
If you follow mining stocks, explore Atlas and tell us what would make it more useful for your research. Our September beta update explains the improvements we are working towards.
If you are a mining broker, geologist, analyst or another mining professional with experience sourcing and evaluating projects, apply to become a curator on Minestarters.

Minestarters’ Bermuda DABA applications are subject to regulatory review; no licence has been granted. Any future vault access will be limited to eligible investors, depending on jurisdiction.
